A great little Ethan Allen desk that just needed a little lovin!

Here's the before...

And here's the wonderful after!!
I painted it in a gorgeous Navy Blue and re did the pulls in Oil Rubbed Bronze!

And here's the before of the gorgeous accent table, look at those legs!

And the after!!

I sanded the top down to bare wood and stained it with Dark Walnut!

I then painted the legs in a beautiful creamy white color called Flax!

And of course I had to distress all the lovely detail that these legs offered!

Both of these items are available at my booth located inside:

Picture Frames Now Available

Thursday, October 11, 2012

I have been in love with all the fun picture frames with beautiful background designs that I've seen all over Pinterest!

So I set out to make my own!

I started with some leftover barn wood that we had, cut it to size and started painting!

I attached the frames using adhesive Velcro so that when it comes time to change the photo it's super easy!

Lots more to come on these so many colors and designs I can't wait to make!!

Going Bright!

Monday, August 20, 2012

I decided to change things up!!  I was feeling the brightness of summer!

I forgot to take a before picture of this desk...so here's the after!

A lovely cherry divine and then I went back over it with Annie Sloan Dark Wax.
I painted all the drawer pulls black for a more dramatic look!
I also painted the inside of the drawers black to give it a cohesive look.

Next I found a beautiful dresser, here's the before...

I was feeling green, in a good way!

I love this shade of green called Mountain Botanical!
I decided to leave the pulls just how they were, they just needed to be cleaned up!
I wanted to freshen up the inside of the drawers but not take away from the lovely green so I painted them with Annie Sloan Cream.
Off to our booth they go!

Single Chair...Reupholstered

Sunday, May 20, 2012

My wonderful sister had picked this chair up for me at her local thrift store and thought I could do something with it.  Which I totally did!! :)

Here's what she looked like...can you see the potential?!
So to begin we must first remove all the old fabric and padding...Yuck!

Then we need to sand the wood so the paint will stick better, just a quick sand job nothing to crazy!  Because of my fabric choice I thought black would look really good with it.  I painted two coats and then distressed the edges.  Followed by some furniture wax to give it that smooth feel.

And...Voila!
Talk about an improvement!!  The linen fabric with black swirls is gorgeous!  This chair will soon be available for purchase from our Etsy store!

I love how the arms look like fingers! :)
